DEFERRED ACTION REQUEST

Update: Due to a federal court order, USCIS will not begin accepting requests for the expansion of DACA on February 18 as originally planned. The court's temporary injunction, issued February 16, does not affect the existing DACA. Individuals may continue to apply for initial grant of DACA or renewal of DACA under the guidelines established in 2012.

The District may be able to provide documents that students could use in support of the following criteria:

B. Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007 for students with later birthdates and partial years for older students,
C. Are currently enrolled in school, have graduated, or obtained a certificate of completion from high school.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will accept the following documentation for the above criteria:
A. School records (transcripts, report cards, etc.) from the school currently attending or attended, showing the name(s) of the school(s) and periods of school attendance and the current educational or grade level.
B. U.S. high school diploma or certificate of completion;
C. Any other relevant document.
